Garage Door Opener




Garage Door Opener Inspection


  1. Determine what type of system you have (chain, belt, or screw).
  2. Visually inspect all mounting brackets, cables, and fastners.
  3. Test the photoelectronic eye by closing garage door opener and obstructing the path. The door should automatically stop and open. Clean eye if it fails.
  4. Next test the automatic reverse by placing a sturdy object (out of the photoelectronic eye's path) under the door and closing the door. When the door hits the object it should automatically reopen. If it fails, adjust the force adjustments and stops or call a professionals
  5. Test manual override to be sure it still functions properly.
  6. If applicable, lubricate chains or screw drive.
